About My Spark Denver
My Spark Denver is a city-funded initiative designed to increase access to extracurricular activities for middle school students in Denver. The program provides eligible families with a $1,000 debit card per child, which can be used to cover the cost of a wide range of enrichment activities, including sports, arts, music, STEM programs, outdoor adventures, and more. The goal is to remove financial barriers and ensure that all students have the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build confidence outside the classroom.

Who Qualifies?
My Spark Denver is available to Denver Public Schools (DPS) middle school students who meet the program’s eligibility criteria. This includes students who attend a participating school and come from families who may need financial assistance to access enrichment programs. -
How to Use the Funds
Once approved, families receive a prepaid debit card with $1,000 per eligible child, which can be used to pay for approved activities and programs offered by My Spark’s list of participating providers. These funds can be used for:-
